E Ba Mi Yin Jesu

E ba mi yin Jesu,

E ba mi gb'Oluwa ga

E ba mi yin Jesu,

E ba mi gb'Oluwa ga

Iyanu lohun t'Oluwa se

Laye mi o, mo dupe

Iyanu lohun t'Oluwa se

Laye mi o, mo dupe

Jesus gba mi la, mo yege

P.S: I watched this song on TV in the 90s but I don't know the name of the singer. She has a pillbox hat on in the video and was on low cut. Some told me it was Bola Are before, but I am not sure she was the one and I don't think she was the one. This woman's singing style was different from Bola Are's own.

I believe older Yoruba brethren should know her name. Kindly drop the name in the comment if you do.

Arugbo Ojo

 Arugbo Ojo by Minister Kenn

The heavens declare Your power and royalty

Lord You reign

King of all ages, You are the Ancient of days

Lord You reign

Your throne is established in justice and righteousness

Lord You reign

Great are You Lord, and greatly to be praised

Lord You reign

We cry holy, holy is our God

Let Your glory, glory fill this place

Arugbo Ojo, Arugbo Ojo

(Ancient of days, Ancient of days)

Iwo l'aseda, l'aweda, l'ameda oh

(You are the creator of all creation, the carer of all creation, knower of the created)

Arugbo Ojo, Arugbo Ojo

(Ancient of days, Ancient of days)

Iwo l'oni iyin, kaabo, kaabo, maa rora

(You own the praises, welcome, welcome, step carefully)

Tun Wa Se O, Baba Tun Wa Se

Tun wa se o Baba, tun wa se
(Fix us Father, do fix us)
Tun wa mo o Baba, tun wa mo
(Overhaul us Father, do overhaul us)
K'aye le tipase wa mo O
(That the world might know You through us)
Ka le je ohun elo ola
(That we might be vessels unto honour)
For our generation to be great
That is why we say o:
Baba tun wa se o, Baba tun wa se
(Father fix us, Father fix us)

Olorun To Da Awon Oke Igbaanip

Olorun to da awon oke igbaani,

(God who created the ancient mountains)

Eyin ni mo fi ope mi fun

(It's you I give all my thanksgiving to)

Olorun to da awon oke igbaani,

(God who created the ancient mountains)

Eyin ni mo fi ope mi fun

(It's you I give all my thanksgiving to)

Tani n o tun gbe ga o, bi ko se Baba l'oke?

(Who else will I exalt if not the heavenly Father?)

Tani n o tun fi gbogbo ope mi fun

(Who else will I give all my thanksgiving to?)

Olorun to da awon oke igbaani,

(God who created the ancient mountains)

Eyin ni mo fi ope mi fun

(It's you I give all my thanksgiving to)

Translation

What the Father has done, there's no one who can do it

What the Father has done, there's no one who can do it

Shout hallelujah, shout hosanna

Shout hallelujah, shout hosanna to God

He has known what we would want

What He has done for us, there's no one who can do it

Praise Him, o believers

Praise Him, o believers

Shout hallelujah, shout hosanna

Shout hallelujah, shout hosanna to God

He has known what we would want

What He has done for us, there's no one who can do it

Notes

I knew this song as a child in the early 90's. We sang it for a long time in church during services and thanksgiving. I believe it was popular at the time. I have no idea who the original owner of the song is, but I hope older people would know. Kindly drop the name of the writer and the minister that released this song back then if you know. Thank you.

Translation

It's Jesus that said I should dance, I dance

It's Jesus that said I should rejoice, I rejoice

The mountain of trouble before me has fallen

It's the Friend of Sinners that said I should dance, I dance
